Spring Detox Guide: Smoothie Recipes

As we are all now leaving the winter months it is fitting that we may desire a fresh start for our bodies. The winter months were filled with holiday, yummy treats, relaxation, and fun! Let's get our bodies feeling their best this spring.

Why should I detox?

There are so many toxins that we consume on a daily basis like car exhausts, heavy metals, food additives, and cleaning chemicals. For the most part, our bodies are really good at cleaning out pollutants like these on their own, but sometimes they need a little extra help, and that's where detoxing with diatomaceous earth can help. Detoxing may also help with the following symptoms

  • Food cravings, weight gain, Body odor or bad breath
  • Headaches, restless sleeping, poor focus, mood swings,
  • Fatigue, skin rashes or outbreaks
  • Bloating nausea, aches and pains, indigestion and a furred tongue
  • Constipation, inflammation, diarrhea, gas and cramping, or other indigestion problems
  • Frequent colds and flu, allergies, tiredness, cellulite, blemishes and puffy eyes

Why Detox with our Food grade Diatomaceous Earth?

Diatomaceous earth (DE) offers an alternative method for detoxing your body, one that is cheap, simple, and effective. It doesn't require fasting or foul-tasting health foods, and many people have used it with great success. DE's naturally absorbent and abrasive nature makes it an ideal internal cleaner. As it passes through your system, it absorbs harmful toxins, and it does this without requiring you to change your diet or lifestyle.

How to do a Spring Detox with DE?

Its simple!

Add about one teaspoon of food grade diatomaceous earth to your morning water once a day or add it to your yummy morning fruit smoothies!

Take it on an empty stomach at least one hour before or two hours after eating. Over the next few weeks, slowly raise your DE dosage from one teaspoon to two teaspoons, taking one in the morning and one teaspoon at night. We recommend taking up to a tablespoon per day. Be sure to drink plenty of water throughout each day to keep your system hydrated!
