Diatomaceous Earth for Pet Wellness

Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a naturally occurring, mineral-rich powder made from fossilized freshwater diatoms. When food-grade and properly sourced, it has become a popular addition to holistic pet care routines for supporting overall wellness in dogs, cats, and other animals.

What Makes Diatomaceous Earth Unique?

Diatomaceous Earth is composed primarily of silica, a trace mineral that plays a role in maintaining healthy skin, coats, and connective tissues. Its fine, powdery texture also makes it useful for external applications in pet environments.

Benefits for Pets

When used appropriately, food-grade Diatomaceous Earth may help support:

  • Digestive Health – Often used as part of a natural digestive support routine.

  • Skin & Coat Condition – Silica content may contribute to healthy skin and a shiny coat.

  • Environmental Freshness – Can be applied in pet bedding and living areas as part of a clean, dry environment routine.

  • Natural Wellness Approach – A chemical-free option for pet owners seeking more natural care solutions.
